Why videos exceed attachment limits

A minute of four K screen recording can exceed hundreds of megabytes because video stores full frames plus temporal compression. Email providers cap attachments around twenty-five megabytes; messaging apps recompress aggressively. Creators need deliberate downscaling and bitrate targets instead of hoping zip archives help—they rarely shrink H.264 streams meaningfully.

Social platforms re-encode uploads on ingest. Feeding them a thoughtfully compressed master reduces generation loss compared with uploading uncompressed screen captures. For archival, keep camera originals separate from delivery copies.
